My country Tis of thee

Unfair burdens u place on me

Average met with disdain even after

An ascent from poverty.

Mr. Jones and them scoff at my

attempt to comprehend this society.

I'm a man, skin black, to ashamed to be labeled JUST African... I need your stamp of approval.

Even though it's me you're mostly rude to.

...but whatever,

I see now To succeed in your eye Means a sacrifice of self.

I'll never obtain your definition of wealth and I'll be damn if I die trying.

Especially When I see so many souls with swollen bank rolls along with tears in the wells of their eyes.

They make withdrawals daily...

So I'm sorry baby, I see that I just can't afford your high maintenance ass, and I think I need a break.

I'm gonna enrich myself in the cultures of your some of your sisters,

It seems with them my black skin holds it's weight in gold and I'd be remised if I didn't at least go on a few dates
